Delete your Belote Club account
This page explains how to delete your account in Belote Club, the card game published on Google Play as Belote Club and also played at belote.club and in Telegram, and what happens to your data when you do.
Your account lives on our servers, not on your phone, so deleting it once removes it everywhere you play. It takes a minute in the app; if you cannot open the app, email us instead.
Delete it in the app
Open Belote Club and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete. Then:
- On the main screen, tap the gear icon at the top right to open “Settings” — or open the “Profile” tab and tap “Settings”.
- Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap “Delete account”.
- A panel titled “Delete account permanently” appears. Tap “Delete” to confirm, or “Keep account” if you change your mind.
- The account is deleted and you are signed out straight away.
Delete it by email
If you cannot open the app, or would rather not, write to belote.info@gmail.com and ask us to delete your account. If you signed in with Google, send it from that Google account's email address. If you played as a guest, include your username — guest accounts have no email address.
We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We reply to your email and complete the deletion within 30 days of your request.
Email a deletion requestWhat is deleted
- Your account: nobody can sign in to it again, and your username, picture, rating and level disappear from the ranks.
- Your levels, your rating in the French modes and your tournament-email setting are erased outright; they are not copied to the closed record described below.
- Your progress cannot be restored: signing in again later, even with the same Google account, starts a new, empty account.
- Tournament reminder emails stop, if you had switched them on.
What is kept, and for how long
Deleting the account does not erase everything. This is what remains:
- A closed record of the account: your username, device identifier, profile picture link, country, rating in the Armenian modes and the date the account was created; with Google sign-in, also your email address; and, depending on how and when the account was created, your Google account ID and an old sign-in token. Other players cannot see it, and it cannot be used to sign in; it is kept so that a deleted or banned account cannot be quietly re-created. It has no automatic expiry — it stays until you ask us to erase it.
- Game records tied to the account's internal number: your counts of games and wins, your winning and weekly streaks with the days you played, your tournament entries and playoff qualifications and, on the web, browser notification subscriptions. They stay until you ask us to erase them.
- Feedback you sent from the app, with the username or email address it came with, and any emails you sent us. They stay until you ask us to erase them.
- Finished games stay in the match history of the other players at the table, under the username you had then, and tournament standings keep your results so that other players' places do not shift. These are records of games other people played too, so they are not removed.
- In-app notifications are deleted automatically within 90 days of being sent.
Erasing what is kept
To have the closed record, the game records and your feedback erased as well, email belote.info@gmail.com — in the same message as a deletion request, or at any time after deleting in the app. We complete it within 30 days and reply when it is done. Results of finished games stay in other players' history and in tournament standings, as described above.
Email an erasure requestGood to know
- Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
- “Delete account” appears in Settings only while you are signed in. If you only looked around without signing in or choosing a username, there is no account to delete.
- If you were offline when you confirmed, the request may not have reached us. If you can still sign in to the same account afterwards, it was not deleted — repeat the steps or email us.
- How we handle your data in general is described in our Privacy Policy.
