Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms apply to the Belote Club game and this website. By creating an account or playing, you accept them.

They are written to be read. If something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing.

Who can play

You need to be at least 13, or older if the law where you live requires it for online services. The game is free, contains no gambling and no real-money play of any kind.

Your account

  • You can play as a guest with only a username, or sign in with Google to keep your progress across devices.
  • An account belongs to one person. Do not share it, and do not use someone else's.
  • If you link a Google account to an existing guest account, the two are combined into one — this cannot be undone.
  • Email from us is optional: tournament reminders are sent only if you switch them on in Settings, and every one carries an unsubscribe link.
  • Pick a username others can see without offence: we can change or remove usernames that are abusive, impersonating, or misleading.

Fair play

The point of a rating is that it means something. These are the things that break it:

  • Using software, scripts or any automated help to choose your cards.
  • Playing several accounts at once, or coordinating with another account to move ratings or tournament standings.
  • Sharing card information with another player at your table outside the game.
  • Exploiting a bug instead of reporting it, or interfering with the service and its servers.
  • Deliberately abandoning games to affect a result.

Ratings, standings and progress

Your rating, level, tournament standing and match history are records inside the game. They are not property, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and have no monetary value.

We may correct or reset them when something goes wrong — a bug, a miscalculation or manipulation — and we will only do that where it is needed to keep results honest.

Tournaments

Monthly tournaments and the year-end playoff are free to enter, have no entry fee and no prize fund. Results count when the game is played to its end in a tournament-enabled room while you are entered. We may adjust a tournament's dates, format or standings where a technical problem makes that necessary.

Availability

We work to keep the tables open, but the service is provided as it is. It can go down, features can change, and modes can be added or withdrawn. We do not promise uninterrupted play and we do not guarantee that a game in progress will always survive a technical failure.

What belongs to whom

The game, its name, artwork, code and the content of this site belong to Belote Club International. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

What you send us — feedback, bug reports, suggestions — we may use to improve the game without owing you anything for it. Do not send us anything you are not free to share.

Ending things

You can stop playing at any time and delete your account from Settings in the app.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the fair-play rules. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

Liability

The game is provided free and without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost progress or ratings, or for interruptions to the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your own country's mandatory law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Questions: belote.info@gmail.com.
